The Lumpkin Library is a County Branch of the Chattahoochee Valley Regional Library System. The building consists of a main floor with a meeting room on the second floor.

The Library is located in the Lumpkin Historic District and listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Books, audio and video tapes may be checked-out by the library's new automated circulation system which replaces the card catalog system.

Resources not available on-site can be ordered from the automated circulation system and delivered quickly from the Regional Library's main location, another branch location or another library system.

The Library is equiped with five personal computers, four of which are connected to the internet. Children under the age of fourteen must have parental permission to use the internet computers. The computers were furnished to the library by the Bill Gates Foundation.

The Head Librarian is Winnie Patterson and is assisted by Sue Harrison. The library is opened daily except Sunday and Thursday. Hours are 9:00 til 12:30 and 1:30 til 5:30. Saturday hours are 9:30 til 1:30. The meeting room accomodating up to 60 persons is available with library board permission.
